Blue Mountains

We've finally got ourselves a new (very old!) car,- and have spent the last few weekends driving to places we haven't been in a while. A couple of weekends ago we spent a great day trekking in the Blue Mountains:0)

Gav's 30th birthday

Gav organised a fancy dress party @ Zanzibar in Newtown for his 30th birthday in March,- and we all had a great night!!

Matt's 30th!

On Matt's 30th (on 26th January 07) I surprised him with a seaplane ride over Sydney and the Northern Beaches! We took off from Rose Bay, circled the city, and then flew up to Pittwater where we were left to enjoy the afternoon on the beach with food & wine, and then got picked up by the seaplane a few hours later for some more spectacular views of the city:0) We had a fantastic day!!
In the evening we continued the celebrations in Bondi!

NYE on Shark Island!

New Years Eve 2006/2007 was celebrated on Shark Island with Jon, Rob and Sarah. We got the ferry across from Rose Bay and found us a spot on the island overlooking pretty much the whole of Sydney Harbour. We had brought plenty of food & drink and had a very chilled out evening. The fireworks were fantastic -as always!

Christmas in Vanuatu!!

Matt & I celebrated Christmas 2006 in Vanuatu,- and what a great holiday it was! Efate Island was bigger than we thought and quite difficult to get around, but we hired a car and set off down the only, and very bumpy road around the island to explore! We found some beautiful beaches, some very friendly people living in tiny villages in the middle of the jungle, a few very tropical small islands off the coast.. and a lot of lush, green jungle! The highlight of the holiday was definitely Christmas Day,- we got engaged on a beautiful beach!

2006

2006 har gaatt utrolig fort, det har ikke helt gaatt opp for meg at det plutselig er januar igjen og 2007..! Men naar jeg tenker etter saa var aaret som gikk et veldig bra aar for meg og Matt, vi har vaert heldige.. Her er 2006 i et noetteskall..

- Vi starta aaret med feiring paa the Opera Bar -en god start!
- Saa var det aa begynne i ny jobb, og det var igrunn det som tok opp mesteparten av tida de foerste maanedene av aaret
- I paasken dro vi til Hawkesbury river der vi hadde leid et kjempefint hus med to vennepar
- I juli dro jeg hjem en tur paa sommerferie,- og det var utrolig koslig aa komme hjem midt paa sommeren for en gangs skyld! Kjempekoslig aa se alle sammen der hjemme,- det blir altfor lenge mellom hver gang..
- I oktober dro Matt og jeg paa ferie til Cairns, Port Douglas og Cape Tribulation! Det var et etterlengta avbrekk etter mange seine kvelder paa jobb for oss begge to og vi hadde noen utrolig fine dager i Queensland. Dro ut til the Barrier Reef, dro paa rafting tur, gikk paa tur i regnskogen og slappa av paa stranda!
- I november var vi paa U2 konsert,- noe jeg har venta paa lenge!!
- Aarets hoeydepunkt var nok likevel turen til Vanuatu naa i jula. Saa mye julestemning var det ikke akkurat, men vi hadde en utrolig fin ferie, det var kjempebra aa ha en hel uke for oss selv og bare slappe av og ture rundt paa oeya. Fikk sett og opplevd en hel masse, spist mye god mat og slappa av,- den perfekt ferie! Paa foerste juldag forlova vi oss paa stranda! En kjempekoslig overraskelse for meg,- og jeg kunne vel ikke ha faatt en bedre avslutning paa aaret!

Godt Nytt Aar til alle der hjemme, jeg haaper 2007 blir et bra aar for dere alle!!

Here's a very quick update on what we have been up to lately..

On the 16th December we went on a cruise around the Harbour to celebrate Kelly's and Gavin's 30th birthdays!
Happy Birthday & thanks for a great day!!














The Sydney Attractions Group Christmas party was held at the Hilton Hotel on Friday the 15th & was good fun!

Aoife organised a'Murder Mystery Masquerade' for her 30th which was a really good night as well! Happy birthday, Aoife!

U2 in Sydney!!!!

We've had a great weekend here in Sydney! Finally got the chance to see U2 live, and managed to get tickets for both Friday and Saturday night! The show was fantastic,- definitely worth waiting a few years for this.. !

Jen's 30th!

Here are some photos from last Saturday celebrating Jen's 30th birthday! We had a great night at Tahren's in the Cross, eating, drinking, dancing and trying on all the nice (and not so nice..) hats provided! Happy birthday Jen!
